PUGNACITY Sovereignty Impugned

In the light of the shock wave of the Israeli-Gaza war and the perpetuated atrocities justified by intersecting injustices, Custodian Heuristics Institute is committed to the delicate, concerned but paramount design research inquiry on contested sovereignty dynamics. PUGNACITY will examine the creation, responsibility and management of territories resulting from conflicted possessions, values, and politics.

The issues and struggles of bioregional ethics arising from worldwide custodians of the land remain one of the most fundamental matters of our time to appreciate timeless and stable milieux. The inquiry will be devoted to the debates on ideas, acknowledgment, and ontological empowerment of peaceful stakeholders and activists for conflict’s resolution of contested scapes.

The recent positivist narrative but fragile phenomena of decolonisation of pedagogies to ensure the sovereignty of peoples must be observed from a political philosophy of landscape to observe and evaluate the mechanisms of mobility of population, knowledge, and customs throughout the world.

The Institute will revisit ongoing inquiries led by its team and reach others representative of such complex dialogic environments.
